Christmas Songs for a Christmas Atmosphere

This post is going to be the first one out of the twelve Christmas posts, even if we're one day away from winter officially claiming its rights I am like an impatient little kid who stands by the window waiting for Santa to come riding his carriage pulled by the well-known reindeers.

I already hanged my Christmas lights on my window telling Santa that I'm one of the very first kids waiting for him to come and leave present under my Christmas tree, thought I am not a kid anymore, pulling twenty in the next July I'll always have a little kids inside of me just for him.

Setting the Christmas stage is not that difficult. Hang some Christmas lights, bring a Christmas tree, decorate it with your loved ones, while doing it play some Christmas songs. In the evening have a cup of hot chocolate, again with your loved ones. But if you're alone invite your friends, their are good companions and don't mind if they bring some food and a good mood. Watch together a good old fashion movie about Christmas and I may have some suggestions but more about that later in the post. Everyone of us should have a Christmas tradition, I have mine and it has already started. Besides setting me into a good mood these Christmas lights are really nice to look at. Around Christmas on 25th I watch the classics which for me are Die Hard, first movie and of course the second one, same applies to Home Alone, first and second movie.

But what about music?

If last year I recommended you songs from Michael Buble this year we will be going way back, right to Frank Sinatra, don't know why I haven't thought of him in the past years, but hey, it hasn't been that long since I've started blogging in english.

So ladies and gentlemen, here is the music that is stubborn enough not to age, the music that will never leave our homes on Christmas holidays. This is the music that somebody pointed out will make us feel as if we were born in the wrong century. Without any doubts I would have grown up a happy kid while listening to Frank Sinatra's music, and not only to his Christmas songs.

Knock yourselves out.

But oh my god, let's not forget about Michael Buble. Although we cannot compare him to Frank Sinatra I would like to think of him as the Frank Sinatra of our century.

I'm simply melting, leave this page in the background while dining with your family, leave it in the background while decorating your Christmas tree or while dancing, this music is good for everything you might be doing in the spirit of these amazing holidays that most people seemed to lengthen from a few days to an entire month and they didn't do anything wrong by doing that.

So, have a Merry Little Christmas and wait for my next post but until then ...

... be kind to one another and by doing that you might change a life.

My Top 10 Best Written Articles.

Many of us, bloggers, don't have english as their primary language so writing an article in english may come sometimes as a pretty serious challenge. With every time we're writing an article we're getting better and better, and yet most of time our work is beyond under-appreciated.

I thought making a top 10 best written articles may spice things up and improve the stats of my blog, I'm doing my best and seeing that people I care about are barely noticing me rising above my living circumstances it's a bit frustrating.

This blog is a personal one, I've invested a lot of time and basically my entire personality in it and it's a big shame that is doesn't have enough publicity (actually I wanted to use another word which at the moment I can't remember). I invite you to read some snippets and if you are going to be curious enough read the entire articles. Keep in mind that the top 10 articles are not put in an order from the less important to the most important one.

1. Lindsay Lohan and other Cancerians.

This is my first article about a celebrity and trust me, Lindsay Lohan is one. There is an expression stating that sometimes "art imitates life", in Lindsy's case life imitated what should've been art.

For the last few years I found myself helpless at doing something to help and just kept reading trashy news about her but not once I let them influence my own opinion. It's easy to take shots at somebody rather than looking at yourself in the mirror, your life isn't perfect or so you may think and yet you find yourself pointing so easily at others' lives.

Don't Save It All For Christmas Day

Tomorrow some people celebrate with their families or friends or both Christmas. For some people it has some religious connotation, for others it's just Christmas, the magic period when you get gifts from your loved ones. It's the period of time when you sit quietly near the fireplace and listen to Christmas songs and restore all the power and energy you lost during the day at work or after dealing with brown nosing relatives.

Use this day to wish and say things that you only on special occasions, words like "I love you", "I cherish you" or "I miss you". It's a special day to give smiles to all people, to those who laugh but especially to those who cry. Don't save it all for Christmas day and give just a little love everyday.

For all of you who celebrate this day in any kind, I wish you:

  • a Merry Christmas ( a Happy New Year a bit later in the next week)
  • to be with your loved ones, whoever they are: brothers, sisters, parents, boyfriends, girlfriends, best friends, etc.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Nowadays I'm in a mood for writing blog articles (that frankly are barely read, but still thankful for the 10 people who visit).

"I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, just like the one I used to know", these are some lyrics from Michael Bublé's songs, that somehow compensates for the lack of snow, although as I check everyday for the 15-day forecast it's almost certain we are going to have snow on the days of December 23rd to 25th. But the snow may come sooner, who knows.

Christmas and the New Year's Eve are coming on a running pace and still have to figure out where I am going to spend them, have to look for some friends to have me at their dinner tables, 'cause unfortunately there isn't going to be one in my home.

I think the time has come to look for a Christmas tree, or for its imitation to have it decorated, oh God, I can't wait to have Christmas lights on. These little things will come to compensate for many things in my life.
